Positive: Check in was great and Braydyn was extremely helpful in finding us a nicer room in the main building and then delivering our keys to the Rundle Bar when the room was ready. Bellstaff was great with help with the bags and car. Room was good sized and with a partial view. Wife appreciated the shower versus having a tub with shower. Used the hotel shuttle bus to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise and it worked great. Lots of places to hike convenient to the hotel. Shuttle to German restaurant on property was convenient and food was good.

Negative: Ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Vermillion Room. Hostess was a real roadblock and took longer than expected to be seated. For lunch she said there was no table available for 10 minutes but clearly looking into the restaurant there were several available and it never did fill while eating lunch. My clam chowder was cold when brought to the table and had to be sent back (later comped). Dinner in spite of made reservations from days earlier we were shown to a table next to a door that opened to the outside. After asking for a table we were seated next to a glass wall and door which we only realized later was a door to the bathrooms with traffic through it all dinner long. Drink and Food service was extremely slow and dinner was good but nothing exceptional for what is supposed to be a highend French restaurant. It took over an 30 mintues to get drinks and over an hour and half for our dinner to arrive. Restaurant was obviously overbooked and impacted by wedding parties. Would go elsewhere to eat. Also efforts to book the golf course in spite of trying weeks in advance were unsuccessful and was very disappointed.

Summary: A nice stay but a few hiccups.
