Positive: Beautiful room (no.4) - good size, stylishly decorated, great views, nice little terrace, lovely bathroom. Ilingas Mare is a short drive from Chora Sfakion and has its own beach which is also open to the public. The place is a hotel and does not provide kitchen facilities in the room (other than a good coffee machine) but there is an OK taverna right next door. You can walk the E4 to Glyka Nera and beyond from here.

Negative: Some dog barking was irritating at times. There was a bit of a smell from the drains to the bathroom sink. But these are small points. If you are prepared to spend 105 Euros per night, this a lovely place to stay as long as you have a car or are prepared to walk a fair way.
