Summary: Had a great stay at niriides hotel. Really nothing to complain about, the location is great in Almyrida very close to the beach, restaurants, and grocery store. Lots of food options within a 5 min walk; traditional Greek, sushi, pizza, burgers. The staff were very helpful, and got us out of a jam. We self checked out early in the morning to catch a flight and forgot something in the room. I called the hotel number (definitely woke them up) and they were able to let us back in with plenty of time to make our flight. My only regret was that Almyrida is a little far from the main highways in Crete, so if you plan to visit the rest of the island you'll need to account for the extra travel time getting to and from the hotel. Otherwise, is a great destination for relaxing and enjoying the beach. Water was warm and clear, would definitely go back.
