Villa Afroditi is a traditional and beautifully-renovated stonehouse in Pigouniana.
It is located on the top of a hill among olive and oak trees.
While we restored it to an exceptionally-tasteful villa, the most important thing for us was to keep the character and welcoming feeling of the traditional house, as well as its large open spaces.
Its bright interiors with fresh atmosphere, its wonderful views, especially in the twilight, help visitors relax and feel peaceful.
We arranged the indoor spaces in a new way that offers privacy without affecting the original layout of the villa.
We added a 40m2 and 1.40 deep swimming pool in the relaxing garden and made sure that we provided all the facilities and amenities that travellers would require for an outstanding holiday.
This villa is ideal for those who wish to spend time in Crete’s gorgeous countryside.
It can accommodate up to 6 guests and is fantastic for 2 couples or 1 couple with children or a group of friends.
Our villa gives guests the opportunity for real relaxation and revitalization.
The villa is just a few meters away from Margarites, a traditional village renowned for its pottery and where you can also find many country churches.
It is also 20 minutes from the city center of Rethymno and 15 minutes from the beautiful beaches of Panormo and Bali.
It's also just a short distance from the Museum of Eleftherna and the Monastery of Arkadi.
Also nearby are the historic Melidoni Cave and Reptisland, a place with reptiles from around the world that is a unique experience for the whole family.

The terrace
Villa Afroditi has a beautiful terrace, the perfect place for your gatherings.
On one side, you will find an outdoor BBQ and pizza oven, with wood and charcoal always provided for you.
On the other side of the terrace you can find the pool area, where you can enjoy the swimming pool all day long, which is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas.
Swimming pool is shared with another part of the villa, so you may share it with one more family.
If you want to have the pool private you must book the whole property.
You will see many sunsets and as many stars as can be seen in only a few places in Crete. There is also an outdoor bathroom on the terrace.
Ground Floor
As soon as you step into the villa, you will find a beautifully-decorated living room with a large fireplace.
Looking from the double door, is the fully-equipped traditional cuisine, where you can enjoy dinner with your friends or family.
We always leave some of our home-made olive oil to our guests’ disposal!
There are 2 beautifully-decorated bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with shower.
Towels and linen are provided.
In addition, we can also provide a baby cot that can be easily be put in any of the bedrooms.
Small baby umbrellas are also available.
